GBHS Announces New Hours!

2009_New_HoursBeginning January 28th, the GBHS will be closed on Wednesday.

Due to decreased adoptions on Wednesdays and a tight budget for 2009, the GBHS has made the difficult decision to close their doors each Wednesday. New adoption and pet surrendering hours will be Monday - Tuesday and Thursday - Saturday from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, and Sunday from 12 PM to 4:30 PM.

Low-Cost Vaccination and Microchip Clinic

dr_chihuahuaOn a limited budget, but need to have your pet(s) vaccinated and microchipped? The GBHS and Dr. Vaughn Walker, from Comforts of Home Vet Care, can help!

The next low-cost vaccination and microchip clinic will be held at the GBHS on February 7th, from 12 PM to 2 PM. HomeAgain microchip implanting and registration is only $20 per pet! View the vaccination fee schedule and make plans to start your pet's year healthy!

You Can Help Make 2009 Better than 2008!

2009_A_Better_YearIn 2008, the GBHS helped care for 10,161 pets. Some of were horses, goats, and even chickens. However, the vast majority were unwanted cats and dogs. Despite our best efforts to rehome as many of these abused, neglected, and surrendered pets, we were only able to find loving responsible homes for 2,823 of them.

Some of these pets, alongside those already surrendered in 2009, are seeking their forever families. Help make 2009 a brighter more joyful year for the pets seeking refuge at the GBHS by taking action today!
