The Greater Birmingham Humane Society offers a Court-Ordered Community Service (COCS) program for those who have been mandated by the court to serve a set number of hours. COCS workers will not work directly with the animals but may assist with other janitorial tasks and projects, as available. If accepted, you will be notified via email and will be schedule your service with us.
Those not eligible to serve community service include applicants who have been convicted of neglect or abuse, violent crimes, weapons charges, sexual charges and some drug charges.
